## Key features

- Clean, polished text: removes fillers (“um”, “uh”), fixes spoken corrections (“three — no wait — Friday”), adds punctuation and formats lists. The Default style keeps your words — no rewrites.
- Voice styles: the same thought as a different kind of text — Default, Email, Casual, Coding, AI Prompt, Quick note. On Mac, press 1–9 while you talk to switch style mid-sentence; on Android you can create custom styles (e.g. “Reply to clients: warm, short, no emoji”).
- Exact words: a style that keeps what you said as spoken, with only light cleanup.
- Edit with voice: select any text and say what to change (“shorter”, “friendlier”, “make it polite”, “in Spanish”) — Wisper rewrites it in place. On Mac this is Command mode (hold right ⌥ with text selected; quick transforms Polish, Formal, Casual, Translate, Bullets on ⌥1–⌥5). Also on iPhone (Edit selection in the keyboard) and Android.

## How to use Wisper

### Mac

1. Install Wisper for Mac from the Mac App Store (https://apps.apple.com/app/id6797500553?platform=mac).
2. Allow the microphone — macOS asks the first time you dictate.
3. Open Accessibility — Wisper opens System Settings → Privacy & Security → Accessibility for you — and switch Wisper on. Accessibility lets Wisper paste where your cursor is and read your selection in Command mode; without it Wisper copies the text and you press ⌘V.
4. Hold right ⌥ Option in any app (Slack, Gmail, Notion, Cursor…), talk, and let go — clean text is pasted. Hotkeys: Fn, right ⌥ Option or ⌥W. Hold to talk, double-tap for hands-free.
5. Press 1–9 while you talk to change the style. Select text and hold right ⌥ to edit it by voice (Command mode). Switch output language with ⌃⌥L or from the Wisper bar.
6. A small HUD shows you are heard; it can sit top or bottom, left, center or right, or grow out of the notch. The always-on Wisper bar lets you hover to dictate or switch language.

### iPhone and iPad

1. Install Wisper from the App Store (https://apps.apple.com/app/id6797500553). Wisper walks you through setup.
2. Settings → General → Keyboard → Keyboards → Add New Keyboard… → choose Wisper (under Third-Party Keyboards).
3. Allow Full Access — iOS requires it for any keyboard that uses the internet; Wisper uses it only to transcribe your voice.
4. In any app, tap 🌐 to switch to the Wisper keyboard, hold the mic and talk. Pick a style or language on the keyboard. Select text and use Edit selection to change it by voice.
5. The Wisper keyboard doesn't replace your normal keyboard — switch with 🌐 whenever you want to talk instead of type.

### Android

1. Install Wisper from Google Play (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=io.memo.app).
2. Allow Accessibility (so the bubble can see when a text field is focused and paste your text into it) and "Display over other apps" (so the bubble can float above other apps).
3. Focus any text field — the Wisper bubble appears at the screen edge. Tap it, talk, tap ✓ — clean text lands in the box. Hold the bubble to switch output language.
4. For offline dictation, download the on-device model once (~640 MB). Offline mode covers the most widely spoken European languages; with a connection Wisper works in any language.
5. Keep your own keyboard — the bubble sits on top.

## Privacy summary

- Audio is captured only while you dictate or record (hold the key, or tap the mic or bubble).
- When you finish, audio goes over an encrypted connection to Wisper's servers and AI providers for transcription, then AI removes fillers and applies your style, dictionary and snippets. Audio is not stored on Wisper's servers; finished transcripts are kept there for up to 30 minutes for delivery, then deleted.
- AI providers process data only to return the result and don't train on it. Wisper doesn't train AI models on your recordings or text either.
- Android offline mode: audio stays on the phone; transcription happens on device.
- Dictation history, notes, dictionary, snippets and Insights stats are stored on your device. No account is needed.
- Wisper does not sell personal data and does not show ads.
- Delete any note in the app; to delete data held by Wisper, email support@wisperai.app.

Yes. On Mac anywhere you can type, on iPhone and iPad through the Wisper keyboard, on Android through the floating bubble.

**How is it better than built-in dictation?**
Built-in dictation gives you the words you said. Wisper removes fillers, fixes corrections, formats lists, learns your names and can switch tone or language.

**Which languages does it support?**
Speak any language, and get your text in any language — pick an output language and Wisper translates as you talk.

**Does it work offline?**
